Stevie Young is the son of the late Steve Crawford Young, who was Malcolm and Angus’ eldest brother.

Stevie filled in for Malcolm back in 1988 as well, when Malcolm couldn’t tour due to being treated for alcohol addiction. He looked a lot like his uncle back then; some people weren’t aware that Malcolm wasn’t touring that year thanks to that, apparently.

Didn’t hear about Brian refusing to sing Bon-era songs of late. Most of the post-Bon-era songs after 1988 were credited to Young and Young, so that means that Brian spent only eight years writing lyrics out of his thirty-six years in the band; not a good idea to start being particular about what the band should play after all that time, and I’m not sure that he had that much input into set lists compared to the Young brothers.

Yes, you would think the Young brothers would have the final say. On the other hand, Johnson has ultimate control of his vocal cords and was instrumental to their 1980 tour de force album. I guess it’s a negotiation. Anyway, apparently they’re playing songs with Axl that they didn’t play with Johnson.
