Pluto isn't quite as lonely as scientists had thought.
Astronomers have discovered another dwarf planet in the Kuiper Belt, the ring of icy objects beyond Neptune. But this newfound world, dubbed 2015 RR245, is much more distant than Pluto, orbiting the sun once every 700 Earth years, scientists said. (Pluto completes one lap around the sun every 248 Earth years.)
"The icy worlds beyond Neptune trace how the giant planets formed and then moved out from the sun," discovery team member Michele Bannister, of the University of Victoria in British Columbia, said in a statement. "They let us piece together the history of our solar system."
...
The exact size of 2015 RR245 is not yet known, but the researchers think it's about 435 miles (700 kilometers) wide. Pluto is the largest resident of the Kuiper Belt, with a diameter of 1,474 miles (2,371 km).
The research team first spotted 2015 RR245 in February of this year, while poring over images that the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope in Hawaii took in September 2015 as part of the ongoing Outer Solar System Origins Survey (OSSOS).
"There it was on the screen this dot of light moving so slowly that it had to be at least twice as far as Neptune from the sun," Bannister said.

I’m sure I saw that episode ... and Tom is in the shower. If the Friendly Christian Laundromat was open, I’d load up the van with all Tom’s filth and have it done in an hour, but they close early on Saturday and aren’t open on Sunday.

Oh, yes...the bracelets on my arm in the photo were the ones that were stolen. I think the count was five at the time. :o[
I’m about ready for bed. My back hurts today, so I’m thinking the monsoons have a lot to do with it, though they aren’t scheduled to move this far west and north until Wednesday.
So I’ll see you in the morning!
‘Nite, all!

So I thought I’d look up some new music for today so I went to CCLI. And found out they totally changed everything around. In their attempt to make a one-size-fits-all web page they have created their very own Windows 8 clone of a metro app - in other words it visually sucks. And the pages scaled wrong when I sent the first try to the printer so I got an 8.5 x 11” page with the leadsheet occupying the upper left quadrant. Even bifocals won’t help that!
I was not blessed.. And they asked for feedback. I hope I maintained basic Christian civility.. ;-)
(In all fairness, I did stick with it long enough to figure out how to get it to work for me and there are some features that are improved, but the adventure took enough time that it killed getting any new music this week.. )

I found my missing Flor y Canto 2nd edition. Some of the songs we do are only in the 2nd edition, not the 3rd.

I’m guessing that must be a tradition left over from the days of the Old Wild West.
