After all, a Lancaster is for life, not just Christmas. :)

Santa delivers during the Blitz.

just now ran across this while scouting for images.

Afternoon, y’all. Back from church, off to Walmart. Five boys and a little girl have to eat!

I’m sleepy now. But I need to write to my grandson. I forgot to get stamps while I was at Wally’s yesterday, so I will go tomorrow or Tuesday. I want that cheesecake!

LuDean wasn’t out today. She’s another diabetic who doesn’t do what she’s supposed to. I just don’t understand people.

Chuck likes to be bigger clothes rather than watch his diabetic diet and take walks every day. And the guy who opens the clubhouse five days a week is also diabetic, and he had a low blood sugar episode that landed him in the hospital for two days.

So many diabetics here who are slowly killing themselves. I just can’t figure it out.

I should try harder because I probably deserve less.

I shouldn’t have to try as hard because I probably deserve more.

.

.

See how that works? Successful people get that way by trying, regardless of their motivation.

People who develop a sense of entitlement are training themselves to have a ready excuse for failure.

Note that the lack of success does not breed the sense of entitlement; it’s the sense of entitlement that brings about the failure, like a moth to a flame.

It’s yet another manifestation of Murphy’s Law; We plan for the worst, not in anticipation, but in expectation. That we succeed should come as a pleasant surprise.

Those who have no expectation of failure, who feel entitled to succeed, are planting the seeds of their failure.

Very confusing.

I plan to succeed for about another three hours, and then Bedtime!

DP works with some diabetics who won’t do anything to help themselves, too. Some people are just, “I can’t!” people.

I’ll have another read of that tomorrow.
It’s getting a bit late for thought.

Hmmmm, that’s a possibility. Especially if she bought her blouse at the secondhand store, instead of paying retail.

As I think about the personalities for Chuck and LuDean, I understand why they don’t do anything to really help their diabetes. They are in the Perpetual Victimhood Mode, and are satisfied with a minimum of exertion to maintain their status quo.

Of course, they can tell us exactly what’s really wrong with all of us, but while Charlie and I want to help ourselves, the other two are content with whining.

And so it goes. Knowing I’ve had hypoglycemia for most of my life has made me aware of what I can and can’t eat without consequences. And yes, I can binge, but why? I try to keep protein handy so that my hypoglycemia is mostly under control, and those times it isn’t, it isn’t too difficult to rectify.

And that’s the end of my sermon for today! Except to say, I’m going to take my pills, select some yogurt, and head for bed. :o])

I thought that line started "It's Friday. But.."

It does, but we done lived THAT Sunday, already, so that base is covered. What we need NOW, is LUNCH, and lunch requires the "It's Sunday..." version, because THAT is how we get to the Spicy Chicken Deluxe Sandwich.

I will probably need to break down and buy Tipton T. Longcat his own computer chair. He is upping his game of lying in wait until he hears me stand up. I see a streak of black and a pounce type sound and I turn to see...

This.

I think that cat wants to sit there. I had to buy two specially-chosen short-person chairs for my 50th birthday because Shannon assumed command of the first one before I could sit even once.
