Whoever does the work should work safely. That's a lot of weight, and considerable force to constrain it.

Since I don’t have spring compressors and other such work-on-strut tools, I got complete assemblies (spring and shock already assembled). Two bolts at the bottom requiring a 19mm (or 3/4”) wrench and socket (one on bolt head and one on nut and a 13 or 14 mm wrench on the top end.

And then an alignment..
