The whole meme is “groupthink”. A bunch of followers, without the intelligence and fortitude to think on their own. They need radical miscreants to tell them their plight is someone else’s fault.
In effect, they turned themselves back into slaves, doing their masters bidding.
They seem to lack in insight to figure out just where the “masters” are taking them.
Maybe they’re stuck in the 12th century too.
