I don’t blame police anywhere for standing down. Who wants to be the next cop who is dragged thru the legal gauntlet and then forced to go into permanent hiding because he had to shoot a black perp in the line of duty?

Then a few thousand bikers and other patriots need to show up to provide security. And if the police attempt to intervene when that security is being provided, the police need to find out that it is “dangerous to officers” to do so.
If the police aren’t going to do their jobs, then they don’t deserve the respect or deference that their job might otherwise command.
They want people to die.
Surely the RNC had obligations in the contract with Cleveland regarding the city providing security and protection forces.
Unlike Philadelphia, Cleveland bought new riot gear for their LEOs. I don’t see them doing that and then no-showing.
They have no constitutional duty to protect you.
Quite honestly, they don't have the personnel to survive the attrition rate they will suffer for very long.
I know we are sending several of our Georgia State Highway Patrol Troopers to help. They were selected several months ago. I think other states are also sending Troopers and other law enforcement.
It is going to be an armed camp.

It’s one thing , with a San Jose mayor trying to protect his fellow hispanic Mex flag waving protesters , but I doubt they will go this route in Ohio .

IOW, the police are admitting they won’t uphold their duty and/or can’t handle protests. Didn’t they get the email they weren’t signing up for desk duty? It’s no wonder the thugs are taking over.
