I Got A New Kitteh!
A farm in Meeshigan | 07/17/16 | The Proud Father

Posted on 07/17/2016 9:00:41 AM PDT by Celtic Conservative

Greeting, Kitteh lovers everywhere. I just got a new Furbaby! I Lost my dear Suzie Q about 7 weeks ago. I was just heartbroken. Of all the cats, she was "my" cat. While departing the vet with an empty Cat carrier (a truly crappy experience) I noticed a sign up advertising kittens. Despite my sadness something said "take the number" , so I did. I exchanged texts and photos with the mama cats owner and picked one out. I just got home with her. She is a grayish brown "dilute" tortoiseshell with a facial "blaze" on her right cheek which is tan. Her feet are all tan too, as well as a chest ruffle. It's almost like a sealpoint pattern. Her name is "Dr. Annabell Pepper" or Pepper for short. She is a graduate of the Dr. Tinycat school of veterinary medicine at Embry-O university. She will be staying in the bedroom with me for a few days with "supervised" introductions to the other cats. She's already growled at the other cats through the baby gate. I suspect she will be running the joint within the year. Just having fun with my new little girl.

How simply adorable!! I am jealous as we cannot adopt right now.

We are down to 5 and one Doberman.

Looks like Daisy is already in charge of Pumpkin. Its the body languauge....and Daisy speaks my language!!!

How very lucky you both are to have found each other.

Wonderful! (Yeah cannot imagine leaving that beauty behind or even at a shelter. People that do that I call: *Obama* for short) XO

Cats are so interesting and can be so different. A vet described calicos as “Attitude” cats. Yellow tabbies are just about the sweetest. Brave, but nice and cuddly.

We have 4 tri colors here and one is a Maine Coon who is beautiful and VERY friendly —— even to strangers, but she has about 2 brain cells in her pretty head.

Locally, cats are disappearing. Coyotes are suspected but none have been seen.

This years fawns seem to have disappeared as well.

Wow!

Blast from my past.

Sadly, Pumpkin died in 2018. I still mourn her.

Daisy is big and sassy, and adores out new doggie Benjamin.

Mazel tov on your new addition. I am still looking for my new tortie and white Maine Coon kitten, which is proving near impossible to find. COVID is not helping, as breeders are not breeding as much due to fewer people out and about looking.

While buying crickets for my lizards tonight at PetSmart, I went over to their kitten adoption center. They had an 8 week old tortie-without-white teenykitty, so animated and sooo unbelievably cute. I spent a few minutes playing with this adorable mite through the glass. A gentleman was there also, admiring her antics. He said he'd better get away from this window or he will take her home. At least I got my kitten fix tonight. I really want another Maine Coon, so I am staying strong against tempting bad influences like this teenykitty. I predict she will be adopted within a couple days. Outstandingly cute teenykitties don't last at PetSmart. I just wish "my" new kitten would come along and that I could spend time hugging her, playing with her, and watching her and Zizu chase each other.

A weekly bath is a must as well.

Whatever would a kitty need a weekly bath for, unless you're looking to dry out her coat of its natural oils? Why would you want to accustom her to long rides in the car? And what's wrong with the occasional cat treat, as a reward for letting you clip her nails and such?

We lost 2 of our kitties within 2 months to old age. Our favorite is hanging on don’t know how we will deal with it when he goes. Fortunately adopted a new rescue kitty about 2 months ago and she appears to have quite the personality. only 4 months old and pushing the german shepherd around. looks like she has a lot of bengal in her....
