What does that have to do with Melania's speech?

BOTH were sabotaged by millennial underlings working for the campaign. I'd be interested in who wrote that speech and whats the Trump's plan for their future involvement with the campaign.

I think this was a set up. The 'plagiarized" parts were merely cliches that have probably been inserted in thousands of political speeches over the years. It's not like they contained some profound new insight that's burst upon the body politic. And yet a couple of mundane passages were immediately recognized by the MSM as being lifted from a speech that the Wookie made 8 years ago! They even had the text of that speech handy so they could throw up screen shots to prove how similar they were.

Definitely a set up.

Truth is, there was definitely some copying and I refuse to believe it was by mistake (I also do not believe Mrs. Trump wrote it herself). A speechwriter did that on purpose, and I believe they did that to create the hullabaloo we are currently seeing. Nothing big, nothing substantive, but all the same still something that is unnecessary.

My hope is that there is a thorough vetting of all staff. Why? While this case is more of a nuisance, there might be other more substantative attempts in the future. Ones that are more substance and less sizzle. Especially considering Trump, unlike past GOP nominees that only had to worry about the Dems, has to worry about BOTH the Dems and the Never Trump GOP branch.

Hear, hear.

No need for emotions here, nor for subterfuge or covering up. Just the facts, ma’am:

1. Melania didn’t write the speech, even if she believed every word she said
2. A person writing the speech looked at Mooch’s speech and copied that part
3. Enough was verbatim to meet the legal definition of plagiarism

I hope the Trump campaign guillotines the guilty, purges some of their staff, and we can all keep focused on winning and beating Hillary.
