Palin, whose endorsement of Cruz’s long-shot Senate bid in 2012 was credited by Cruz himself as the reason why he won the race that launched his national political career, gave the following statement to Breitbart after delegates booed Cruz off the stage at the Republican National Convention on Wednesday night:
Turns out Ted Cruz’s partner, Carly Fiorina, had a more graceful exit from the political stage than he had.
Cruz’s broken pledge to support the will of the people tonight was one of those career-ending “read my lips” moments. I guarantee American voters took notice and felt more unsettling confirmation as to why we don’t much like typical politicians because they campaign one way, but act out another way. That kind of political status quo has got to go because it got us into the mess we’re in with America’s bankrupt budgets and ramped up security threats.
It’s commonplace for politicians to disbelieve their word is their bond, as evidenced by Cruz breaking his promise to endorse his party’s nominee, evidently thinking whilst on the convention stage, “At this point, what difference does it make?” We’ve been burned so horribly by that attitude that voters won’t reward politicians pulling that “what difference does it make” stunt again. Politicians will see — it makes all the difference in the world to us.

You could say maybe showing anti-Republicans, Independents, some Democrats that Trump is not part of the machine and maybe be open to actually voting Republican. And these traitors have been all over the media anyway so why not get it over with for a guy who wants to run in 2020 and show this in such spectacular fashion how these Republicans break their pledge and so disgustingly.

If we’ve learned anything about Trump during the last year, it’s he thinks two to three steps ahead...he already knew how this will play out. This is more about changing politics as usual rather than just Trump winning. It’s about changing trajectory for generations.
I wonder if Ted’s bummed out that he had Mark Levin and Glenn Beck write his speech, but then again, since the all have gone insane, probably not.
I don’t know if I’d go as far as to say Cruz deleted his career. He might still have a bright future in his native Canada ;)

Had he endorsed Trump, as he and all the others promised to do, he would have had a perfect platform to be an adviser or even a cabinet post, to help rebuild the mess Obozo has created.

the sooth sayers would have said appearance of the plane was for Ted a bad omen. The appearance was there for all to see, a triumph over Cruz of stupendous magnitude. It was the omen of doom
Of course the second step of Ted's plan was to keep himself alive and viable as a candidate.
Ready to climb on the wreckage of the sabotaged Trump campaign and don the mantle of front runner for another bid at the presidency in 2020.
But that will never happen.
After his disgusting ego trip last night his political career is over.

Last night Trump allowed Cruz to torpedo his 2020 chances and unify the party around Trump all in 20 minutes. Brilliant.
