Good catch. My thoughts too.
If it is a legit story, it would have been sweet to send some active duty Marines in to rescue him.
How awful. That poor man. I hope he winds up in good care.
And I hope someone beats the stuffings out of his abuser.

Is not the ‘criminal justice’ system anything but a farce anymore? More die from other prisoners than by the death penalty (some) should quickly receive. What ‘restitution’ to society does one make behind bars (3 hots and a cot, TV, weights, library, ‘care)? No more chain gangs, no more manual labor (aside from picking up side-of-road trash [some fire fighting IIRC])?
Course, theses days, govt (State & Fed) rob the Citizenry and turn a blind eye to their own, while coddling the undeserved, for votes and power.
Seems the only one w/ the s* end of the stick is...the taxpaying/law-abiding Citizens.
This deserves the death penalty.
Would it be any less horrifying if the fellow had spent his working years on a factory floor? A farm? Driving a taxi?
