I e never watched The Walking Dead. Is it any good?
The Walking Dead, TWD, just finished its 6th season. If you like survival shows with lots of blood and guts, then it’s for you.
Blood and guts doesn’t really describe TWD.
Think George Romero or Sam Raimi levels of gore with great drama added in for flavor.
Bring a pillow for when they get to the farm in season 2, though.
It can be uneven, but in general it’s a very well written show. It’s not about Zombies so much as it;’s about how people act under extreme pressure.

It’s a pretty good metaphor for a civilization that is falling to pieces under assault from barbarians. People trying to hold onto some stability and safety in the face of overwhelming odds.
I loathe 99% of TV stuff: So much I haven’t had cable in over 12 years.
Even after YEARS of Walking Dead hype I wasn’t tempted.
THEN it got on NetFlix and I bing-watched it ALL —really liked it, to my huge surprise.
I think you, too, might like it.

If zombies could say Allah Akbar, the Walking Dead is a somewhat exaggerated version of the daily news today.
Stay away from Fear the Walking Dead. Not only is it boring and stupid, but I finally gave up when two dudes started making out.
