The latest feeble, desperate ploy by Democrats to deflect fallout from the Wikileaks emails is that they are the fruits of a plot by Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and space aliens to tarnish the otherwise sterling character of Hillary Clinton. They’ve even put the Keystone Bureau of Investigation on the case to track down the hacker who has kneecapped the normally shameless DNC. (That would be the same FBI that declined to prosecute Hillary Clinton when her careless treatment of state secrets did not rise to the level of an indictable offense.)
Of course, the conspiracy meme is nothing more than sleight-of-hand intended to take attention away from the glaring, damning contents of the emails and attack the messenger. Since the DNC can’t deny that its minions wrote the incriminating documents, it resorts to its backup plan: impugn the motives of the delivery man.
We can talk all day long about who is “behind” the email leaks (as though there’s a vast shadow conspiracy). We can speculate at the speed of light about the damage the leaks will do to the Clinton campaign and who benefits from discrediting Hillary. We can feign umbrage at the conveniently timed publication of these inculpatory documents and write it off as a particularly vicious campaign trick by unscrupulous Trump supporters.
But one thing does not require any speculation: the emails were written by DNC operatives.
Instead of falling for the distraction, let’s focus on the content of the emails themselves, and see what they reveal about the machinations, the cloak-room deals, and the outright lies concocted by Ms. Clinton and her appartchiks in the media and the Democratic National Committee. Who is bent on discrediting Hillary? No one. She’s done a great job of that all by herself, once the truth is revealed. And who benefits when that happens? Oh, I dunno, how about America?
Diverting attention from the emails by belaboring their exposer is, as one internet poster put it, like condemning a bank for handing over its surveillance tapes to the police after a robbery. The hacked emails are documentation of crimes. They are prima facie evidence of collusion, corruption, and cavalier disregard for the democratic process. They give incontrovertible proof that, as conservatives have claimed for decades, the mass media routinely conspire with liberals to slant presentations, to kill unfavorable stories, and to use their bully pulpits as platforms from which to mold public sentiment in favor of a left-wing agenda. And the revelations punch holes in a façade of caring and compassion, revealing a cesspool of arrogant intrigue swarming with cockroaches and dripping with elitist poison.
The emails demonstrate – in black and white electrons – what utter contempt liberal power brokers have for the unwashed peasants who have proper them up for more than half a century. They prove beyond a doubt that many of the so-called “grass roots” movements that underpin progressive politics are nothing more than passion for pay, ire for hire. Far from there being a “vast right-wing conspiracy,” these leaks show that the conspiracy belongs to the left wing, and that it’s not just a boogeyman conjured up by febrile conservative paranoia. It’s real and it’s documented – by the conspirators themselves, in their own words.
It’s Standard Operating Procedure for liberals to dismiss conservatives as wild-eyed lunatics clinging precariously to outdated notions of honor and integrity and patriotism, while they, the champions of the “little guy,” are social visionaries daring the unknown and piloting the ship of state into an uncertain but exciting future. But the ugly truth emerging from the Wikileaks embarrassment is that the only principle guiding the DNC is the lust for power. There is no sense of loyalty, no commitment to a constituency except as a bloc to be exploited, no moral platform but an obsession with control. There is really no objection to the status quo, as long as the Anointed hold power.
There will be leftists to whom those expediencies are perfectly acceptable. Their agenda trumps everything, and nothing is sacred if it obstructs the march of progressivism. That attitude is consistent with Marxism, which, in its classic manifesto, states simply that the ends justify the means – ANY means. If lies are called for, then lie. If oppression serves the end, then oppress. If duplicity and equivocation and hypocrisy are the vehicles by which the agenda advances, then climb aboard. That’s the way to victory, whatever the cost. And that’s perfectly okay if you get to finally wear the winner’s laurel.
Bit I believe there are principled people, even on the left, who will finally see these betrayals as opprobrious, as violations of decency that cannot be ignored, justified, or pretended away. They may be the last straw for disillusioned disciples who have witnessed the increasingly tawdry methods used to sell progressivism. They may see the truth, that Hillary Clinton is little more than a latter-day Antoinette who has made Faustian bargains with anyone who can deliver votes, and who waged a war of subversion against her more popular opponent. They may finally admit that the so-called guardians of our public discourse are clearly biased, and worse yet, are cheap prostitutes for a corrupt political machine. And they may realize that their voices are immaterial, their values of little note now that their overlords have rigged the system.
They are what Lenin called “useful idiots.” “Useful” in that they deliver votes, and “idiots” because they blindly ignore their own exploitation. They are disposable once the end is achieved, all the rosy promises notwithstanding. They are faceless, nameless, and important only en masse. As individuals, they are just nuisances. There is no respect for them, and only a grudging tolerance for their smelly demands and their disgusting, petty lives. They are peasants interrupting petit fours and high tea at the Hall of Mirrors.
And that inconvenient truth may compel them to storm their liberal Bastille, once it dawns on them what dupes they’ve been. The only hope for the queen to escape is to distract the mob long enough to race to her carriage and make a midnight getaway.
Whoever leaked the emails, whatever nefarious plot is behind it, the fact remains that the DNC wrote them. The vile sentiments they contain belong to their authors, not their publisher. No guilt accrues to the person who shines a light on evil; that is reserved for the evildoer only.
So let’s stop second-guessing the motives behind the leaks and speculating about sinister, far-fetched schemes driving their publication. Let’s focus instead on the ugly truths laid bare in those missives, and let’s have the courage to face what their words tell us. Surely, except for the most purblind zealot, there is a group more deserving of your loyalty.

What if the overall goal of the Dhimmicrats is to provide jobs and welfare for anyone who votes for them, paid for by ever-increasing taxes on those who DON’T vote Dhimmicrat?
Again, I believe that “The UniParty” wants to control our multi-trillion-dollar Federal Treasury in order to buy votes.
What if? I don’t think there’s any DOUBT that that’s their goal! They’ve been buyibg votes with our money ever since the New Deal. The surprise will come when, as these emails reveal, the socialist agenda is finally implemented and the useless masses can be discarded. THAT’S when the ugly reality dawns.

I'm letting you know in advance, as I traverse the internet, I am certain that the paragraph cited above will fit perfectly in many of my responses to articles about the wikileaks emails both now and in the future.
It is reprehensible — but entirely predictable — that the Democrats would try to shift the focus from the message to the messenger. The crime is the collusion and corruption in the emails, not in their publication.
It is sheer desperation on the part of the guilty, an attempt to minimize their culpability through diversion. We need to keep the focus where it belongs, and keep hammering on the villainy it exposes.
