Sounds like our webber, but ours has hinged wings on the upper rack to open to tend the fire. We use a chimney to light the charcoal. No lighter fluid needed. Works great.

Yes, de facto versus de jure discrimination. Many areas around here are still patterened after such de facto discrimination. No one would sell a house to a black in certain neighborhoods.
I didn’t mean to imply that racism is a southern only thing, just that when it is done in a de jure way, it hinders and taints the law in a way that the hypocrisy of de facto racism doesn’t

I don’t know if the writers intended it when the series started, but it’s becoming a sort of allegory of American/western involvement in the Islamic world. You want to bring tolerance and democracy but you eventually end up wanting to kill them just for a sense of order.
You even have Molly as a sort of American lefty conscience. She’s all weepy over the death and destruction that we have been forced to mete out.

That is so true-maybe the script writers will have the series characters figure out that you can’t bring tolerance and democracy to people who still think it is the 7th century-that would be refreshing-I just wish the real America/western world would figure it out, too. There is really no point in trying to drag people like that kicking and screaming into the civilized world now-maybe in another 200 years or so...
Apparently, there are only two ways to deal with the Islamic world where the extremists run amok, use civilians for human shields on a regular basis, etc-quarantine them by forbidding travel to their countries, business deals, any money, etc until they learn to behave like humans-maybe that will keep the other way of dealing with them-killing them for a sense of order-from becoming necessary...
