Heh....remember when my daughter was about 3 and my father in law was teaching her to fish at their cabin on the Mississippi up near Alton.....she hooked a gar her first time out —a baby, but it came out of the water snapping. She threw her hands up and shrieked, and tossed the pole in the water and ran. Gramps had to dive in to retrieve his fishing pole.....
Took her a few years before she was brave enough to try fishing again....Wish I had video, it was hilarious...

Aw, the poor kid shoulda hooked a nice, big bluegill! Gar are nasty looking things, for sure!
