Reminds me of the sea turtle that Steve tries to rescue in Married with Children only to realize that it’s salt water turtle and he threw it into Lake Michigan which is freshwater
LOL Reminds me of when I was around 4 years of age. My father used to take us to Orchard Beach in the Bronx on Saturday mornings during the summer. There were tiny crabs about the diameter of a quarter near the shore.
One Saturday, I decided to put some in my small bucket and take them home. After we got home, I noticed the water from Long Island Sound was a bit cloudy. So, I poured it out and filled the pail with tap water, thinking I was doing the crabs a favor. When I looked in a short time later, the crabs were dead. I was saddened and went off to tell my father. He consoled me, explained to me about salt water and fresh water. He also had a good laugh. Every time I think back to that day, I have a good laugh as well.
