Sasha Obama, who has lived eight of her 15 years in the luxurious confines of the White House, is learning how the other half lives this summer.
Sasha, who’s using her full name of Natasha at Nancy’s, has been learning the ropes of the service industry at the Oak Bluffs eatery this week, working a cash register, busing tables and prepping the restaurant before it opens for lunch.

The cost of Secret Service to the American taxpayers will be many times anything she could possibly earn. Not a good thing, in my opinion.

Good on her. However, my take is that she’s taking a job from one of the local kids. Let her work near her “home” in the neighborhoods of D.C. Now THAT would be an education.

Hats off to her for working but am I supposed to think that she really wants to be doing this? It might be unfair but life is quite different when you are the child of a president. Just part of the deal.

It is very strange that there are so many liberals commenting. I’ve never seen so many liberals posting comments at that site. Many are from out of town too.
It looks like they have A LOT of people on there who are super liberals. That’s great. It means that the Dems are worried about what’s happening in Massachusetts. The state is overwhelmingly liberal. Could they be worried about the outcome of the election?
Things are changing. The last time I was there I heard two different people make positive comments about Trump. Shocking to hear that.
I think she got a kind of Godfather deal here. Was there any chance the employer could say no? Is there any way the employer could actually fire her?
So, U.S. taxpayers are paying, like what, $100,000 a day to guard Sasha while she pulls in like $56.00 before taxes each day?
Wouldn’t it be a lot cheaper just to pay Sasha $100 a day just to stay home?
My grandkids all found work——waiting tables,supermarket cashiers,life guards,and camp counselors.

I used to work in a Dairy Queen (way back when Carter was President) one of the guys I worked with was from a family that was just filthy rich. He enjoyed the job because it was the only place he wasn’t treated special.

Good for them. Was talking to a couple of 13 year olds in our neighborhood. Asked if they had been to any of our subdivision pools this summer. First thing they said was that the female lifeguards are “all so old”. Turns out the HOA pools only hire college students now. Had to laugh.
Youngest grandson started tutoring kids in math and English. Oldest one who goes to college in Oklahoma has managed to piece together four jobs so at least he is almost full time. Just tough out there in our part of the world for kids.
