I hope Trump has a ground game. The GOP cannot abandon the big cities. Trump needs to go into the inner cities and convince them that all those years of voting Democrat has brought them nothing but misery. If there ever was a time for a GOP candidate to get a larger than normal share of the black vote, this would be the time.

The other day I was in a small business with the proprietor on site and a TV (tuned to cable news, probably MSNBC or something) blaring. The Khan story was on and there was footage of Mr. Khan ranting about something and the commentator chiming in about how Trump doesn't get it.

The proprietor, staring at the screen, let out a self-satisfied "Hah!"

I wonder how this guy (a black gentleman, let's call him Mr. P) voted in 2008 and 2012. Likely Democrat. Likely for BO.

How will he vote this November?

Will he vote at all?

If he votes, will he vote "D" because it's some sort of subconscious reflex for him?

Are Trump's people interested in reaching people like Mr. P?
