That’s funny. But you know? I hear that these Olympic swimmers do it all the time......
The divers are probably rationalizing that it's okay because they can shower off after they dive. With all the time and preparation they've invested, they'll convince themselves there's no problem.
It's total insanity to use that pool or any water from the same source until they know exactly what's causing the problem.
What about the pool scene in “Caddyshack”?
Welcome to the Emerald City.
Diving well needs much
Sodium Hypochlorite
Pollution remains
Michael Phelps had a cyst on his neck last night so I’m going with poorly treated water.
All I know is that I don’t think I’d swim in it.
The Australian coach complained last week about the practice being too “soupy” for them to swim.
If terrorists wanted to spread a bio to the world, this would be the perfect opportunity.
Nevermind what they swallow or get into their eyes/ears/nose/lower regions and wounds.
Ok, who peed in the pool?
*glares at Russian swimmers*
I remember a few years back about an internet feud over people renting wetsuits from a dive shop and peeing in them. It’s different in a lake or the ocean though, right?
When we filled up our swimming pool for the first time the water was green like that. The color came from the copper pipes. After the water was filtered and chlorinated the green color went away.
Yuck... since my old house had a jacuzzi I can tell you that they get scummy REAL fast when lots of people are hopping in and out of them. They basically become incubators for all sorts of bacteria in short order.
When I used to have parties when my parents went out of town, my least favorite part was cleaning the jacuzzi afterwards. Putting in chlorine and running it with the filter wasn’t enough, I’d have to drain the whole thing and go in there and scrub it out with bleach to kill off all the scum.
Oh yeah... and if you soak in a hot tub that is full of bacteria with insufficient chlorine, you could come down with a condition called “hot tub folliculitis” that causes all the hair on your body to fall out!
More like Diablo Lake.
