AMHERST, N.Y. -- A suspected meth lab was uncovered in the heart of Amherst, N.Y. Police believe a culvert is how the suspect or suspects got underground, WKBW-TV reports.
All of it was happening in a very busy section; the suspected meth lab was found underneath a Walmart.
Covered head to toe in protective gear, members of the state police hazmat team descended into a manhole, busting what they call a suspected underground meth lab.
One by one, police reeled in buckets of evidence, including pop bottles, suspected methamphedamine, spray paint cans and other meth-making materials.
But perhaps the most shocking twist of all is where police say the meth was being made - underground in the parking lot a Walmart.
Police say the suspects entered through an underground drain culvert, which is on the side of the Walmart on Sheridan Drive.
Raelynn Marshall, manager of Batteries and Bulbs, which just opened in a nearby plaza, says the meth lab cleanup began on her store's opening day.
"There's a lot of tunnels down there that could travel through all of this, so that's all we need is to go boom!" she said.
That would be great if your watch, cell phone and car batteries all up and died at the same time... otherwise, what’s the benefit?
Trump has a yellow Lab, Putin has a black Lab, what kind of Lab does Kim Jung un have?
Shorten those supply lines from production to customer base.
With Mexican methamphetamine so pure and cheap it is hard to believe anyone would make their own these days.
OK I will ask you. What kind of lab does Kim Jung have?
Convenient location (they’re generally always in strip malls/ open air complexes), and they do the installation. And they’re cleaner than most other places to get car batteries, and opened longer hours. And they’ve got the oddball batteries that can be pretty hard to find, fun store to walk around while they replace your car battery.
“-———fun store to walk around while they replace your car battery.”
That is definitely a “guy” thing.
.
There’s a lot of different batteries in the world, it’s kind of remarkable. Although a very high percentage of them are actually other batteries wired and shrink-wrapped together.
yes and talk with themselves until they pop
It doesn’t sound like it was a physical construct, just a place tweakers were going to ground to make using 2 liter bottle “pressure vessels”.
“Although a very high percentage of them are actually other batteries wired and shrink-wrapped together.”
I think that’s the kind in my cordless phones. When I first saw one I didn’t know what the heck it was.
.
Yeah cordless phone batteries tend to be 3 or 4 AA or AAA batteries turned into one. It all started with the classic lantern battery many of us grew up with, which if you take the top off is actually 4 D cells wired up. See, now you’re starting to want to wander around a Batteries and Bulbs huh. Boat batteries tend to be pretty interesting too, weird shapes.
Ha! Where was that from? I still say that now & then
Welcome to the neighborhood, Raelynn. I just know you are going to like it here.
OK, did these guys get their idea from “Breaking Bad” ?
You’re thinking of weed. Meth doesn’t make anybody happy.
#8 Hillary never looked so good.
Check YouTube for a clip. I think Limbaugh used to use it [the audio] as a bumper.
