Most likely. After all, there is NO terror threat in the U.S. Whatever a terrorist is.

Montgomery County Police Assistant Chief Russ Hamill announced two people were killed in the blast in Silver Spring during a media conference
I didn't know media conferences could be so dangerous.

There you see; the media is not only biased but actually explosive.

Three possibilities:
1) Gas leak
2) Meth lab blows up (as you indicate)
3) Or, depending on the occupants, homemade bomb factory goes kaboom
While options 1 and 2 are more likely, you can’t rule out #3, either.
To: Rockitz
The explosion was also declared a 'mass casualty incident', and added the building is still in 'extremely dangerous condition'. Really? /s

Spent a little time in the Maryland area in the past and if I remember correctly, that area has a high Hispanic population. I’ll go with gas leak.

I live close to the area. Low income housing. Mostly Hispanic. Mostly illegal.

Is Bill Ayers in town?
His Weathermen group blew up a building while constructing a bomb.
To: ExNewsExSpook
If it turns out to be #3, then there will be weeks of discussion about “motives” and whether or when the occupants were “radicalized”.

Correct. People forget if natural gas leaks and explodes in a confined space, it explodes like a fuel-air bomb—not much will be left, we’ve seen several times over the years in New York City whenever a gas leak causes an apartment building explosion.
