Last Friday without a football game, if you can believe it.
We’re starting a week earlier this year cause they are allowing schools the option of scheduling a game this week instead of a second scrimmage. Many schools are opting to revive old rivalry games that were impossible before.
We start the era of 6 classes of football, which was vigorously opposed in these parts, yet voted for by the rest of the state.
NOoooo, it cannot be fall already. It’s starting too early.
Gotta get up and make hoagies tomorrow morning, so vacation’s over for that, too!

xshub and i have been walking the track of Fairfax High school since my hip surgery, doing a few miles to build strength every evening. There have been random practices going on on the field, girls field hockey the past few weeks etc. but last night the parking lot was full and there were people in the stands! we were shut out! it never occurred to me that school was going to be starting and that the kids were going to take their field and track back over!
Thanks-it does have a swamp rock sound-I like the hard bass, too...
