Early Fear the Walking Dead ping!
I will be unavailable this weekend, but the new episode will be on Sunday.
Please let me know if you would like to be on or off the FTWD ping list.
Put me on the ping list, plus TWD if you do that—it starts in sept., I think.
Can anyone recommend a good recap podcast for this show?
I prefer the Walking Dead series, but I will tolerate this one for one more season. I think it is because there is no character that I really like. Unlike the Walking Dead, if they kill Daryl, we riot.
I don’t know if I am on your ping list, but I would like to be. thanks!
Agreed...Fear lacks the character development that The Walking Dead displays. I watch Fear, but can’t say that I’m very enthused at this point.
Double agree.
Only a couple likable characters on the show.
I blame the writing, not the actors.
My advice. Hire better writers.
Wonder how his AMC show `Ride With Norman Reedus’ is rating.
Hard to imagine TWD without Darryl.
I watched a couple of the new FWD promo’s earlier this week.
That show just does not grab my attention. Last season, I found myself surfing the web, etc., during the broadcast. After watching the promo’s I am seriously thinking I can find something more interesting to watch on Netflix.
I think Alex (Michelle Ang) has potential:
Somebody has to have some tactical sense on that show.
It’s strange that Fear can’t seem to get their act together. There’s a lot of crossover between the writing teams on the 2 shows.
I pulled the plug on TWD the minute they had to add homosexuality to the zombie apocalypse in a continual effort to try to normalize the abnormal. Not interested in sitting through such unsubtle indoctrination. As soon as homosexuality rears its ugly head on ANY show, I pull the plug.
The main characters are so unlikable and unwatchable that multitudes of people like me hope they ALL get infected an turn into what they already are: The walking dead.
The writing team is coasting on years of existing comic story on TWD. They’re having to come up with their own stuff on FTWD, and it’s not going so well.
Yes, good point. Fear is all new content, no comic book help. I was assuming that the backdrop of the cast being on the ocean would add some interesting drama to Fear, but the writers really did nothing with it.
The thing that bothers me about the whole TWD premise is where are all the maggots? In 30 days all the dead people would be nothing but bleached out bones after the decay and maggots took hold.
The audience literally doesn't care if drug-boy, pansy-dad, dumb as a box of rocks student counselor mom, petulant and spoiled daughter and step son, homosexual black man (must be "PC" and include at least one homosexual) or stereotypically strong Mexican father and daughter live or die.
It’s too bad they bollixed up the show. When they announced it I thought it would be a “can’t miss” show....it’s far from that.
Every week the characters "developed" we learned one characteristic true of ALL of them, across the board:
These people are stupid.
No one in their right mind would act the way these characters habitually act under these circumstances.
I was uneasy after the Pilot show,...talk about forgettable, it was terrible; unlike the pilot of The Walking Dead which was excellent.
You think the pilot was bad, its been all down hill since the pilot episod!
