That is Hepatitis A which transmits via the fecal-oral route. The people that handled the berries didn't wash their hands after going to the bathroom. Hep B is blood-borne as is Hep C. They are viruses and only related by being viruses and affecting the liver. The symptoms are jaundice and clay- colored stools. It is quite disconcerting when your poop is gray and your pee is brown.
