Ah, when only 640K bytes will do.
***** SSDs rock! Much faster! Made the transition last year on a windows 7 machine. *****
The price on 2.5” SSD’s are dropping fast. Last December, I bought a Mushkin 512GB SSD for $115. Now, I’m seeing 480GB drives for under $100.

A friend of mine has a Thinkpad E11 with Windows 10. She said, “Take a look at it!” I couldn’t because it was updating, no way to use it.
A constant problem.
A week or two later I did a fresh install of Linux Mint Cinnamon 18 on it and now she’s happy with a computer she can use. MS really screwed the pooch with Windows 10.
I turned off the Windows updates as I have programs and folders open that I am using and do not restart for several days or even weeks. During the night Microsoft would install the updates and restart my pc. Very irritating!
Image business having their work wiped out by Microsoft arrogance!
Right click on the Start button then click on Control Panel> Administrative Tools> Services> Standard tab (at bottom) > Windows Update> double click to open> Startup type: Disabled then Apply
On purpose probably.
Yeah, the extra 5 or 10 bucks to go from a 16gb to a 64gb stick is a real bummer.
