To: Blood of Tyrants

Up until about 1990, the Texas State Constitution only allowed people who pay property taxes to vote in the bond elections. It makes great sense but wasn’t enforced and eventually the requirement was dropped from the Constitution.
Probably due to threats from the Federales.

The founding fathers originally wanted only property owners to be able to vote.
