Is this Anniversary update something that comes thru automatic updates? Do I need to turn off auto-update?
It does come in automatically. Afterwards, your system version will read 1607. I checked mine and I’m still in the fifteen hundreds, so apparently the Anniversary update is not installed yet. But when I go to check on available updates, it says there are none and that my computer is up to date. I used Kindle Paperwhite extensively, so this could be a real hassle, if what the article says is true.
I never got an anniversary update. Maybe that’s a good thing.
