PHOTO: Were Government Employees Attending Hillary's Reno Speech on Taxpayer's Dime?
Self | August 25, 2016 | PJ-Comix

Take a good look at the photo below of the audience at Hillary's Reno speech today. What is interesting, besides the SMALL size of the audience, is that a whole bunch of them are wearing AFGE shirts. That stands for American Federation of GOVERNMENT Employees. That's right, they work for the government.

So the obvious question, since the speech was in the middle of the day, Reno time, is were those employees being paid while attending her speech? IOW, were they watching her speech on the taxpayer's dime?

What a pathetic rally. Trump has more people than that at his rallies waiting in line to go to the bathroom.

There is a reason she doesn’t hold events on weekends, no paid fed, state or muni employees will show up.

Which is her base.

She hasn’t had a campaign event since last Thursday, and she doesn’t have another one scheduled until next Wednesday.

Look at all the American flags.

The Dems must still be smarting from the beatdown they got the first day of the DNC convention.

AFGE is mostly federal employees, whereas AFSCME is state, county, city and other local employees.

I can see why she doesn’t need to campaign.

I mean Hillary and Trump are by far the two most well know candidates in POTUS election history.

Her people are going to vote for her. They understand what she represents...the twin evils of crony capitalism and welfare.

Okay, so from which federal agency were these AFGE members shipped in to attend Hillary's rally? Is there some big federal agency in the Reno area? Bureau of Land Management perhaps?

If they are not on duty, nothing about it violates the Hatch Act. As long as they're not in uniform of any kind (not including union apparel), they're fine. If they're being paid as official time, then they're in violation of the Hatch Act.

I’d say it was an empty house compared to a Trump rally.

Look at all the American flags.

American Flags are a fire hazard in an area occupied by democrats. I am surprised that the fire marshall allowed the flags in the building.

You're kidding, right? Federal Highway Administration, all land agencies (BLM, Forest Service, Fish & Wildlife, Parks Service, etc..), DOD (there are Navy personnel at Fallon, less than 50 miles away, and other military installations within a few hours' drive), Defense Contract Audit Agency has employees in the Reno/Sparks area, IRS field offices, FBI field offices, etc... Probably 50 federal agencies with employees of some sort within 100 miles of Reno.

My husband worked for the government and the union reps were gone all the time to meetings, etc. And they were still paid their salary.

I can hear CNN,MSNBC,ABC,NBC,CBS, etc. say, "Breaking news! Hillary Clinton spoke to a packed hall today!"

When they should say, "Hillary Clinton spoke to a packed hallway today."

Those are just the agencies that occupy the federal buildings. There are several others that don't occupy federal buildings. Here in Albuquerque, there is a federal building plaza downtown, but there are multitudes of other federal agencies spread around town in non-federal installations. The Forest Service has its entire accounting, IT, and human resources operations located in Albuquerque, and none are located at the federal building.
