Congratulations! Your hubby is obviously a prince and a gentleman-such rare thing now...

A truepenny in politics today
Is such a pearl beyond price-
As soon as most get in office
They are pursuing every vice

Lovers and one night stands
Listening to the siren’s call
The influence and dirty deals-
It’s about money most of all

The Clintons are the experts
And know all the ways how
To launder their dirty money
In the Clinton fund cash cow...

my 1st husband and I hadn’t parted after 19 years, we would have celebrated our 45th last May-maybe he would still be among the living, too...

This is pretty cool. The first guys to score points in a college football game on TV were from Greensburg.

I liked seeing what went down on Tyrant this week-Molly confronting Barry about Leila before she even finished unpacking and smacking him down with I don’t love you any more or care who you sleep with-then Leila went rogue on him-he managed to piss them both off, and he is starting to look a bit like a tyrant, too...

Yeah, in his mind he’s going “good I can still sleep with her, then.” LOL

I was surprised that he went the way he did. The smarter move would have been to announce that he was indeed running for president. (And then making sure he would win by hook or by crook.) That was the smart move.

Doing that would certainly have looked less like a power grab-I didn’t expect him to just postpone arbitrarily, or at least back off when he saw how appalled everyone was-thought he had more sense, but apparently not...

And I got a chuckle over Sam trying to lord it over Ahmed and being told that the two of them needed to have a long conversation in that threatening tone of voice-wonder if he is going to tell Sam how closely related they are-I hope so...

It would also make it easier to keep American support with the facade of democratic gov’t.

There are still some things that could make another season interesting-how will a war turn out, whether Barry becomes a real tyrant or makes it out of the country with his skin intact, what happens with Sam and Ahmed, does Molly dump Barry and go home, etc-I haven’t heard/read if there is going to be another season...

I’m hoping that BBC brings a season II of “The Last Kingdom” based on the Cornwell books about King Alfred...

Thanks. We continued our losing streak for our Anniversary Dinner. Last year we went to Outback and they blew it. Advertised fruit in their sangria and didn’t put any in, said they never do, when I pointed to the drink menu. Then dinner came out and my baked potato had no butter, said they were making it in the kitchen. I asked if they were milking the cow and churning butter?

This year, we waited an hour and a half for our food. My dinner was delivered to the wrong table, so mine was another half hour. My butt was sore and I was getting peeved. My daughter took the waitress aside and told her to make it right, this was our anniversary. So we got free dessert, just for the two of us, not my daughter and her husband. Good grief. What lousy luck.

Perhaps you can celebrate next year at your daughter’s restaurant where the food and service will be stellar. :)
