Having grown up in New England in the 50’s/60’s we had hardly ever *heard* of Country let alone heard the music itself.There wasn’t a single radio station that played it there.Even today there’s only one station that I know of in Boston that plays it.Although I don’t really understand a lot of it some of what I’ve heard is really great.

Yes, an amazing performance. She sustains the passage “...still mine. I need your love...” at full throat for 15 seconds, twice during the song. Not many have that kind of ability. And she was doing it at 14(!)
But if you were a night owl, you could get WWVA up there, while we here in Ohio couldn’t.
