On September 30 our freedom of speech will be seriously endangered for one simple reason:
Obama illegally refuses to renew a key contract with ICANN.

According to Professor Jeremy Rabkin: ICANN is the internet’s version of a ‘phone number’ directory.
I’m using Professor Rabkin as a hostile witness BTW. But imagine if China or Soros got hold of our phone directory! With the right software they could scramble our phone numbers overnight, spam people with automatic calls, harass people and businesses, and sabotage phone lines.
And with the internet they could get even more creative. Sure, the FCC would scream bloody murder, but those squeals would be music to their ears.
ICANN is NOT a corporation. They aren’t interested in profits. But backroom deals with key players? That’s the perverse way ICANN would be influenced.

A nun straightened me out on that AD stuff when I was about 10.
My Latin teacher confirmed, year of our Lord.
When the BC/AD system was created, in AD 525, it went from 1 BC to AD 1, with no gap in between, and no year zero.
If AD means "After Death", then you have a roughly 33-year gap to account for that would not fall on this time scale. It means In the Year of Our Lord.
