Herb Brooks used to coach around here, not even close.
Brooks and Tortorella have a lot of similarities. Brooks was a tremendous coach of amateur teams but could never cut it in the NHL because his prickly personality drove him out of every NHL job he held.
Tortorella has coached a Stanley Cup champion, at least. That's something Brooks never did.
