It was just as you would expect. Trump did great. Lauer challenged him, defended Clinton and generally acted like the Clinton fanboy he was.

With Clinton Lauer asked the tough questions but let her drone on and on, didn't challenge her answers and wasn't combative.

I will say this about that, it may be beneficial the way Lauer acted (though what you say is True). Trump looked better suited for the upcoming debate environment where they will be peppering Trump and he’s quick on his feet, while Hillary just droned on, blah, blah, blah and obfuscated; no answer, showing she is out of her league; no leadership.
