If they throw Biden in to replace Hitlery, is there any law preventing him from naming Obama as his VP? This gives them a way to carry on, understanding who is calling the shots.

You cannot run for VP if you are ineligible to serve as President for the complete term for which you are running.

Obama has served 8 years. NO ONE can serve more than 10 years (that would occur if you were VP, and succeeded a dead President on 1/20 of the 3rd year of the term, after 12:00 P.M. Washington time. So you’d have served 1 year and 364 and a fraction days. Then you’d be free to run for 2 more terms of your own. 2-term Presidents can’t do that - they’re DONE.

The 22nd Amendment provides:

“No person shall be elected to the office of the President
more than twice, and no person who has held the office of
President, or acted as President, for more than two years of
a term to which some other person was elected President
shall be elected to the office of President more than once.”

This amendment has never been construed by a Court because it has never come up before. Arguably, yes, 0bama could be elected Vice President, and then Joe Bite Me steps down and 0bama takes the job as President for a third term...because he was not “elected to the office of President.” It clearly violates the spirit of the clause, but five liberal justices of the Supreme Court might say it does not violate the letter.

Worse, five liberal justices of the Supreme Court just might say you don’t have standing to sue and duck the whole issue.

Well, there is the 12th Amendment, but the Constitution doesn't seem to be in effect any more.

The 22nd amendment really only addresses who may be elected as president. Not only could Obama be VP, even if it were found to be unconstitutional, there is no authority that would enforce it.

That would require keeping Jarrett in place.

Read the Constitution; even if they put Shotgun Joe in there, he can’t name the Brown Turd as his VP.
That would put the Turd first directly in line for the Presidency if anything happened to Shotgun Joe.
Get your copy of the Constitution and read the 22nd Amendment.
