Picked about 5 tomatoes this week. One fell off by itself but fortunately showed a tiny tinge of color and is slowly starting to ripe - couple of weeks I guess.

Still count about 29 others including a couple small ones.

Original Basil plants (3 in one pot) about dead - not much - did great in the heat, lousy now. But 2 other pots going - one small amount and the other not too bad.

I don’t know how to tell when my carrots are ready - they’re heavily-overplanted so I’m trying not to dig any up until November (maybe a couple weeks in) so I can let them do their thing.

Our German Butterball potatoes have some disease that is causing this. Ha anyone seen it before, why does it happen and is there a cure? This is our first and last year for this variety

Check out
Cornell University : VEGETABLE CROPS

Detection of Potato Tuber Diseases & Defects

Information Bulletin 205
http://vegetablemdonline.ppath.cornell.edu/factsheets/Potato_Detection.htm

Check out the description and photo at the bottom of the page and compare with your crop disease :
19. Net necrosis – Potato leafroll virus

Since this is your first year with this crop ( not hold-overs from previous crop), you may want to notify the source of your potato seed.
They might issue you a refund if a certified seedhouse, especially if others have had similar complaint.

I made the analysis of the disease which you photographed of your potatoes, since I haven't seen this specific spotted disease in potatoes, myself.
Most issues involving potatoes in my current area has to do with nematode contamination and blight.
I then compared your photo to potato diseases photographed on bing.com/images, which appear to be similar.
The only true accurate analysis should be done by cooperative extension trained crop specialist who deals with crop diseases in root crops.
Candidly, it is beyond my volunteer experience and training, as I haven't seen this disease before,
but the photographs suggest "Net necrosis – Potato leafroll virus".
An accurate diagnosis would suggest a professional plant pathologist; that is why I recommended that you contact Cooperative extension.
