I don't know why. As far as we know, with all these incredible wonders and complex goings-on we've discovered and observed in the Universe, WE are by far the most complex and amazing.

Most likely, any other life we encounter will be equally complex and amazing, intelligent or not, but there is the possibility that we’ll encounter more advanced beings or phenomena as well, whose existence will be astounding.
