Hormel Compleats @ $2.00 or less on sale and a 1/2 liter Diet Dr. Pepper @ $.50 or less on sale versus going out to Subway or similar for $10 to $12 with a drink, plus I lost a few lbs. compleats don’t require refrigeration, so I could keep a selection at my desk.

I’m now unemployed, so I make a big dinner that leaves me with leftovers for a few days and eat on that for a few days. This is “Taco Week”.

$15/hr is going to kill the restaurant and fast food business.

$2.00 bag of Walmart tuna fish. I make decent money for my part of the country but no way am I going to spend $200-300 a month on lunch.

Processed junk like that Hormel stuff can lead to expensive medical bills.

I got two packs of turkey necks at less than $3 a piece. A package of celery, one of carrots plus onions and garlic I already had on hand. Put it all in the crock pot and I have bone broth and turkey salad for at least a couple of days.

A dozen store brand eggs, a $1 package of frozen spinach, a handful of grated cheese, some whole milk or 1/2+1/2, a little onion and garlic baked in a greased pie pan and I have a meal that beats anything you can buy in a restaurant. This freezes extremely well, too!
