At my elementary school someone would get out a pocketknife, then two boys faced one another with their feet spread as far apart as possible.
We took turns throwing the knife into the ground between the other boy’s feet. He had to put his foot where the knife stuck.
Back and forth until someone chickened out. I suppose today that wouldn’t fly.
