The lesson I got from that video is: when seconds count, don’t bother to call 911.

That 911 operator should get a different job.

I agree. The dispatcher needs considerably more training plus a large infusion of common sense. She wasted valuable time

I came away with the same observations. This should be a case study for those who feel comfortable subjugating their personal safety to a 911 dispatcher.

Try to imagine if this woman had not had a gun with which to defend herself and her call to 911 was to have a police car dispatched while the thugs were still on the premises?

The dispatcher spent almost 3 minutes micro-analyzing every word the caller was saying before even beginning to have a unit dispatched. I understand that the broken English may have been a bit difficult to translate at times, but the dispatcher showed no sense of urgency in getting a unit out to the caller.

Kudos to the woman for defending herself and getting at least one criminal off the streets permanently.
