A ‘Child of the Sixties’, I’ve heard and seen a lot in all the decades since then, but... this is the first time I’ve ever even heard of ‘kratom’!
I had never heard of it either until last year when someone suggested I try it. I have MS and it seems pain at one level or another is a constant. Since my health care is through the VA, I know better than to have a milli-iota of any narcotic or marijuana in my system when I am seen by any PCP at the VAMC. So I tried kratom.
It works fairly well but perhaps I don’t use enough. In any event it has a pleasant taste and within 30 minutes of drinking the tea, I am again able to physically function without “thinking” about pain. That is a blessing.
As far as I can tell from years of experience being involved with drugs as a PCP, the DEA is run by veritable idiots controlled by Big PHaRMa.
