Okay, I found out that the Facebook link "translation" problem is not just on my computer. It's on others' as well, although it may or may not affect your Facebook posts. As of yesterday, when you try to post a link on your timeline, Facebook does not translate the link to show the column's picture, title and a snippet of the piece. This morning I stumbled on a way to defeat this.
These are the instructions for a desktop computer. When you post a link on your timeline "status" box, and it just sits there doing nothing, highlight the entire link with your mouse. Then grab the link with a left-click-hold, pick it up and briefly take it out of the status box. This will change the status box to a "drag and drop" box. Then, drop the link back into the box, and it will then translate correctly.
If you have any questions, just ask me in the comments below. It's possible that Facebook did some kind of "upgrade" and accidentally wrote a glitch into the code, or it's also possible this is deliberate to bury "certain" content. Either way, until or if it's fixed, this is a work-around for it.
This happened to me when I was trying to share a breitbart article. I thought it was Facebook being a**holes blocking conservative sites.

As much of a renegade solution that is, that only allows the left to win and have a monopoly on free speech. Strong conservative voices like ours must counter and call out their lies.

I use the FB account to interact with some of the well meaning leftist that really have no clue how evil the stuff they believe is. FB isn’t perfect but it is a better platform than nothing for exposing them to the truth. Especially when they live (literally)10 to 12 thousand miles away. I had a discussion with someone last night on my nephews FB page who was trying to say Trump had more, and worse scandals than PIAPS. This was someone who’d never been challenged about her political beliefs before. I admitt that the leftist drivel can be a grinding pain but I only have to put up with it when I want to.
As the “Cool old guy” who lives on a tropical island I have several FB friends blown my way from my daughter in the UK. They have no clue what an actual American is really like.
Zuckerberg is a limousine leftist no doubt. But I have no qualms about using his platform against him. If we don’t interact with those who disagree with us we lose.

I was very glad to accidentally stumble on that fix today. It was a fluke that I did it in my frustration with the links not working. :-)
NO. Many FReepers, including the owner of this website, use Facebook. As I said in my NOTE above, this is for FReepers who use Facebook. If you don't like it, don't bother with this thread. You're wasting your "breath" here. We know Zuckerberg is an evil commie tool, but we USE his site to spread the truth.
