I wish I could move back to Minnesota. Beautiful state. I went to U of Minn sort of randomly on a NROTC scholarship. I loved talking the bus from campus to the M of america to catch movie. One day I will get my wife on board.

I worked for Koch Refining, selling the resid out of the Pine Bend Refinery south of St. Paul and also managed their marine fuels business out of Duluth-Superior. The fueling biz with steamship customers was the most fun I’d experienced in sales.

I liked to go fishing near a boundry waters stream north of Two Harbors in quieter moments. Most days it was cool along the lakefront so I kept a stocking cap and gloves handy.

One day, I rolled down the black stocking cap with “Iowa Hawkeyes” in gold print. My fishing license and trout stamp were examined by no less than five DNR officers...
