I have never been in or seen a Walmart because they only have one in L.A. ... and it’s in the scary part of town.
But I didn’t know one could shop at that hour!
Anchor Baby Alert!
Perhaps WalMart could open a special check-out line for deliveries, and save us thousands. :)
I had a similar experience in Walmart.
Felt the stomach cramping and made it to the Men’s room in time to give birth to something that looked a lot like Obama and smelled like Hillary.
Beautiful mother and son! I’m so glad they are both OK.
**But I didnt know one could shop at that hour!**
Some places are just more interesting LATE at night. Walmart, Waffle House....
When Mrs Gamecock was pregnant with our second child she developed a late night craving for ice cream. We lived on Fort Jackson at the time and there is a Walmart right outside the gate.
I got dressed and drove there at 1am. I was amazed to see a man and woman with a three year old boy wearing footie pajamas in tow. Now what do you think they drug this poor kid out at 1am to buy? A new TV.
I have never felt the need to go out at 0-dark-30 and buy a new TV, but that is part of the charm of Walmart late at night.
Some people work second shift or third shift, and this is their free time. Other people are just friggin weird.
Some Walmart’s are open 24 hours a day. The one near me is only open from 6 A.M. to midnight, but I see there are 3 in the New Orleans area that are open 24 hours a day..
20 years from now:
Mary: I’m a Leo. What sign were you born under?
Wally: Twenty Items or Less!
Things can progress more quickly than you expect and without some of the signs they tell you to look for. One thing they stress is get to the hospital within an hour when your water breaks. Woke up in labor (5:30 am) with the second baby but didn’t get to the hospital right away because my water didn’t break. It seemed intense but (young pregnancy brain) I kept thinking I had plenty of time since my water hadn’t broken yet. The drive there was interesting because by then I knew it didn’t matter -baby was coming right now! We made it there a few minutes before he was born at 7:20 am.
This woman’s story makes me think of “Where the Heart Is”.
But does it take both of them dragging their kid out, in his jammies, to do so?
Re: Yep seems a strange story. She knew she was in labor but needed to make sure she went to Walmart, as opposed to asking her husband to get things they need. Very odd
Not necessarily. Some husbands are not so great when you send them to the store. Maybe she knew exactly what she needed but thought her husband wouldn’t know what she was talking about. Especially if what she wanted was not labeled in Spanish. And if her previous labor was much longer, she probabably thought she had plenty of time.
Re: This womans story makes me think of Where the Heart Is.
Me too
“needed to make sure she went to Walmart, as opposed to asking her husband to get things they need. “
I’m guessing you’re male and have never had a husband, lol. ;-) They can’t be trusted to shop correctly in times of crisis.
Yep, that’s me, I’m male. Well, I know sometimes on regular shopping errands, my wife told me I got the wrong thing so I see your point.............
Was the WalMart greeter there to say “Welcome to WalMart.”
Customer service is almost always better in the middle of the night. The help has a choice of stocking shelves or helping the customer. And before they had the self service checkout, you didn’t have to deal with lines at the register. Just keep your eye on the other customers, and a clear path to an exit.
Looked like Obama? Please, don’t insult turds.

Illegals in Payson?

You are so bad! I like that in a person.
