She awoke @ 2 A.M. but the baby was delivered @ 5:30 A.M. She either lives a long way from the Walmart or her few things were many things.

I have never been in or seen a Walmart because they only have one in L.A. ... and it’s in the scary part of town.

But I didn’t know one could shop at that hour!

Things can progress more quickly than you expect and without some of the signs they tell you to look for. One thing they stress is get to the hospital within an hour when your water breaks. Woke up in labor (5:30 am) with the second baby but didn’t get to the hospital right away because my water didn’t break. It seemed intense but (young pregnancy brain) I kept thinking I had plenty of time since my water hadn’t broken yet. The drive there was interesting because by then I knew it didn’t matter -baby was coming right now! We made it there a few minutes before he was born at 7:20 am.

This woman’s story makes me think of “Where the Heart Is”.
