I appreciate your data point from South Carolina. It is representative of your daughter’s circle of friends ... and not much else.

“...absurd...”

Absurd or not, there is movement in the college aged voting block to not vote and their social media is reinforcing this position.

They loved Bernie and hate Hillary -

Let's hope they don't vote. There could be a lot of college women voting for Hillary due to the first woman President thing.

Exactly. Which is very scary. Product of govt propaganda in state run schools. Actually I hope most do stay home. I was hoping many would switch to Trump...which I think he has a hugh opportunity he could jump on. Talk more about the issues and things that may appeal to them

I got blasted for saying Trump is a bad candidate, especially for the young ones. And frankly, in my mom’s circle of friends. I still feel that way even though I’m voting for him.

My Alabama daughter really liked Rubio, and he was very popular with a number of her friends. They don’t care about illegal immigration because they have friends whose parents came here illegally.

I still think Rand Paul would do well with this group.

I actually think they are more concerned about corruption and could be swayed on a limited government platform, especially after wikileaks has shown how corrupt our government is.

I think they are a cynical group.

I am an actual millennial, and I will give you my first hand account of what is going on in my polititcs sphere:
It is true that the third party is being skyrocketed into popularity. But I have actually met more non-voters than third party voters. And I still see more republican/democrat voters than anyone considering to vote third party. But the overwhelming majority just hates Trump. If you want to see how they feel, just look on twitter. Mostly things like “I hate Trump because he’s sexist” or “I hate Trump because he hates immigrants.” And it is hard to try and speak some logic because all your fellow classmates will come after you. So I don’t know if people get some common sense as the age or what, the baby boomers didn’t, but something has really gotta change, and soon I hope. Cause trying to keep myself from totally roasting everybody my age with some actual facts is killing me on the inside, hence this rant.

I could see Hillary being popular with millennials, there might be quite a few jobs created at those camps.

I have kids in elementary school and kindergarten. How do I keep them from becoming libtard? Any advice would be welcome.

I don't know if this is the advice you need or not. Frankly I am stunned reading this post and the comments with it. We have 3 millenial grandchildren who are excited to be voting and they are voting Trump. At my family table political discussions and historical events and consequences are standard daily conversation. Other people's children who are now adults have frequently told me they like our company because we didn't treat them like children. They say we listened, replied to them and explained consequences as though they were adults. I took friend's kids on camping trips with my kids and I. I talked politics to them. They were open to hearing my "stories" around, table, campfire, sitting at the lake, whereever. Needless to say, my kids are political junkies like me. I didn't try to preach and lots of other things discussed too. But just start telling them truth when they are young. Kids love stories. Bible stories have political applications as well as spiritual. History is one HUGE story of mankind. Make it funny. Listen to what they say. If they go left in their replies, tell them why you go right without condemnation. But always give examples using consequences of left leaning choices. Help any? Remember kids are sponges.

She’s not swayed by other people’s emotions. She thinks liberals are very emotional people.

Then she has an incredible advantage over her peers. It took me far longer to learn those lessons. If I could go back in time...

"They are just too young and stupid to get it."

In all fairness, I don't think it's stupidity as much as indoctrination and peer pressure.

I have friends with two daughters who just finished college in Washington and can only speak in liberal talking points.

Another friend has a 13 year old boy who is home schooled and has taken every on line course offered by Hillsdale College. Talking with him is refreshing - a joy, actually.
