I have read the Bible, several times cover to cover. I tossed the commentaries aside and let the Bible speak for itself.
That little country in the middle east is NOT the Israel of God. They don't believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. (see Ephesians 2:12ff) They are not children of God (see John 1). They are not the seed of promise. (see Galatians 3:16, 29)
Read again. Romans 11:25: “...blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles be come in.” (KJV) The time is coming when Israel’s eyes will be opened, and “they shall look on me whom they have pierced” (Zechariah 12:9-11).
That time will be during the tribulation period, the 70th week of Daniel.
