In Mexico, they control this process with putting Silver Nitrate on your finger the day you vote, and punch a hole in the only Electoral Card that is good for 1 election only. Works well, clear plastic urns, and cameras to watch how the votes are tallied. I’ve seen voting up close in my other country too and it is by paper and ID is checked.
How we vote here is worse than third world. Even in Iraq they dyed the finger.
