Trump can reform DC but he cannot force out the GOPe ,, they have to leave on their own... THEN we have a party we can get behind.
Oh Hildy, I feel the same way. So discussed with the GOP for not supporting our nominee. In so many ways this whole mess reminds me of the Tea Party movement year’s ago.

If Trump drains the GOPe swamp and rebuilds it with the right people, it will be worth it. Time for some flotsam and jetsam.
I became active in the Party in 2008 through the Tea Party because that’s what I was told to do to effect change from within. It’s really gotten us far, hasn’t it. A political party is a coalition to win elections. That is all. Our top leaders have told us to vote our conscience, have they not? So if the establishment doesn’t like OUR nominee, they don’t support him why even have a Political Party?

I joined to be able to vote for Trump in the CA primary. I’ll be independent on November 9.

Reagan, Palin and now Trump are anomalies. Rockefeller, Bush, Romney, Ryan are the actual Republican cadre.
I left them in 2012. Bishop Willard was the quisling too far.

I left mid-year so that I could vote “Operation Chaos” “for” Bernie here in CA’s primary. Just to be able to vote against Hillary an additional time. (By that point the GOP nomination was Trump’s.)

I did around 1 month ago.
Proud to say I never voted for Romney/Ryan and only voted for McCain in 2008 because I supported Sarah Palin.

We don’t register by party in Virginia.
I have donated in the past so I still get fundraising “surveys”, which are now always returned at their expense in their postage-paid envelopes with lengthy “suggestions” as to what they can do if they want to survive.
They don’t seem to want to.
They are only interested in preventing us from stopping the Cheap Labor Express.
