The leftwing media in the UK loved to hype polls that had Brexit going down in flames by double digits. So the remain supporters stayed home thinking it was a done deal and Brexit won. After the vote, hundreds of thousands of remain supporters signed a petition whining about the polls and calling for another vote.
The difference between the Brexit vote and our election is we have more than just the presidential vote on the ballot. There’s more incentive to show up to the polls in our election even if a democrat was inclined to stay home because of the other races and proposals.
