Vee was instrumental in getting Bob Dylan recognized. Just like Johnny River's contribution, most of the credits these singers have goes unnoticed.

Dylan did a few gigs on piano for Vee when Vee was still regional to to Upper Midwest. They weren’t really friends, but they did have a surprising affection for each other as North Country guys.

I believe Dylan occasionally sings a Bobby Vee song at his concerts.
