A++++ She’s partial to orange pantsuits, so the transition to orange an orange jumpsuit should be easy for her.
My vet told me Huskies on the average are healthier and longer-lived by several years than most large breeds-but 17 was up there even for a Husky-Chows are another long-lived large dog breed-mine lived to be 17 also, and it was not the first time the vet had known one that old.
She-the vet-has a theory about why some breeds outlive other breeds the same size by several years, and are healthier in general-she thinks that the longer the breed has been around and unchanged, and has not been overbred, the better the chance for good health and a long life-it does seem to make sense-Chows have been around for a couple 1000 years and Siberian Huskies-and those other sled dogs- Malamutes-have been around for several hundred years-none of those breeds has been much changed or overbred within living memory.
They are not as popular as many other breeds, so there is no need to overbreed to meet demand-those breeds are also on that ridiculous “vicious dog” list-which is a crock...
Thank you!
I’ve had that thought, too-orange pantsuit/orange jumpsuit-not much difference...
When I was on the trail by the river this morning, I saw a riding mower in the distance run down the slope and splash into the river, and a guy running after it, yelling profanity-since nobody appeared hurt, I decided to mind my own business so I wouldn’t get talked into helping someone drag a mower out of 4-5 ft. of very cold water...
That made me laugh, poor guy.
It is one of those things you just can’t help laughing about-the engine is probably toast-getting waterlogged can trash a small engine really fast-and I can’t imagine how I would explain the damaged mower to my insurance company, either-talk about making people laugh...
Oops-that last post was for you...
